Amy studied textiles at college and fell in love with designing and handcrafting clothing. She then went on to study at London College of Fashion.
Amy is a mother of three children, two sons and a daughter. After the arrival of her daughter in early 2014 Amy relished the opportunity to dress her in beautiful dresses and embraced handcrafting items for her to wear. Soon friends started placing orders and one fashion loving friend suggested the use of the Liberty of London fabrics and so the idea for The Handmade Clothing Company was born.
